HIV/AIDS Education & Awareness Program

The One Heartland Center’s expertise is in HIV/AIDS education for all ages, specifically tailored to the requests and needs of your group. If you are interested in increasing your knowledge about HIV/AIDS, our staff can customize an education and awareness program specific to your group. The One Heartland Center offers both half day and full day HIV/AIDS programs upon request.

Service Learning Program

Service-learning is a method of teaching, learning and reflecting that is done through meaningful service. We use experiential education as the vehicle with community and youth groups who visit the One Heartland Center and participate in Service Learning programs. The main goal of our program is for participants to walk away with an increased understanding of civic responsibility and increased civic engagement. Our half and full day programs include a service project as well as time to debrief and reflect on the days lessons.

Leadership/Team Building Program

One Heartland’s leadership program is done through team building activities on our High and Low Ropes Course or a number of other group-dynamic games. The focus is on identifying a group goal, building ownership across the team, identifying inhibitors to teamwork and removing or overcoming them. All groups who participate will walk away with an action plan to be implemented at your workplace, school or within the community.
