History

Since 1993, One Heartland (formerly Camp Heartland) has been providing summer camp programming and year-round support to children and youth infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.  In the last 17 years, One Heartland has grown from providing 72 campers the "best week of their lives" to each summer serving hundreds of children, youth and entire families living with HIV/AIDS and other significant life challenges with week long summer camp sessions in three locations; Minnesota, California and New York.  One Heartland is the largest camping and care program of its kind.

In 1997, One Heartland purchased the One Heartland Center in Willow River, Minnesota through generous contributions from Minnesota Twin Paul Molitor and the Pohlad Family.  Since then, the Center has been home to not only several weeks of Camp Heartland each summer, but also provides a location for oneFutures: A National Lifeskills Retreat for Young Adults Affected by HIV/AIDS, welcomes Alternative Spring Break groups, rental groups, service groups, meetings and events.

By renting space at the One Heartland Center, you are not only choosing accomodations and staff that will meet all your needs, you are also helping to support One Heartland's programs and services for children, youth and families impacted by HIV/AIDS and other significant life challenges.
